AthtelThere seems to be a lot of confusion around the difference between 3 pole mono balanced inputs and a 4 pole stereo balanced output. A balanced input has 3 poles per signal - one ground, and two hot carrying the same signal, but one of them is flipped. By re-flipping the inverted signal and adding it to the positive signal at the end of the run, you can reduce the amount of noise picked up over a long cable run. However, a 4 pole stereo output simply means the right and left signal each have their own ground. Since the x7s has two rca inputs on the back (each with their own ground) it can deliver a truly balanced, 4 pole stereo signal.
