Italian for “dawn,” Aurora was founded in Turin at the end of the First World War. Indeed, it was the dawn of a new era for battle-weary Italy. That was 1919. Today, the company still occupies the factory it was founded in. And while much has changed over the last 99 years, the quality of Aurora’s pens has not. With the Aurora 88 Mineralis fountain pen, a legendary design from the ‘50s returns. This limited edition is specially designed to showcase the piston-fill system, which allows the use of any bottled fountain pen ink. Meanwhile, the colorful cap, end, and band highlight the pen’s sleek lines. Each one is fitted with a solid 18-karat gold nib.
