Do a custom run of belts with the metal AustriAlpin Cobra buckles, letting buyers choose the color of the webbing and the buckle finish, and it will BLOW UP.
RachelBLiving in CA, I have to pay taxes on these group buys, so I often check the manufacturer's website. This product qualifies for free shipping on their site, so total purchase was 1 cent less than the listed MSRP in this drop. Oh, and the grey belt seems to be available. And it'll ship in one business day.
bjoseph725I have a 1.5" wide webbing cobra buckle belt from another manufacturer, and it fits through my Levi's jeans belt loops, but it takes a bit of pushing and prodding with some loops on some pants to get the buckles to fit through.
It's just the buckles that are a bit of a struggle. Looks like these polymer ones might be a bit slimmer.
BTW, these don't fit in Levi's belt loops. You can purchase the ITW buckles themselves for about $10 a pair, but since they aren't flat they won't fit through the loops.
I've tried and failed miserably.
HSLilAceI got it to fit my levis. Had to take the end buckle off and run the strap through the pants before putting the buckle part back on, but it worked. Now I am prepared for any tactical situation that may happen when I'm out and about on the town. I can also fit my becker kabar tactical knife's sheath on this tactical belt, though I don't have any tactical pants yet so I have to do that blue jeans trick. The tactical buckle is extremely nice feeling and clicks tactically into place.
I'm not sure how much you could, tactically, fit on one of these, but it does a good job keeping my oversized pants from falling.
These seem very nice, but I"m finding it difficult to justify a purchase of one of these when you can get semi-decent tactical belts @ Amazon for $10 or less. Someone sell me on this. I want to say "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!".
banzaiburgerWell yeah, you can get even a better belt for less than $10, however the buckle will be inferior to Cobra featured here. But nevertheless even a Cobra buckle can't justify this price.
ToxicYes, these are TSA friendly and have a cool buckle for what it's worth but I can't see it. I have been using an Eagle Creek money belt for years on my travels: it is all plastic, has an inside hidden zipper that holds mucho dollars or euros which is a huge extra benefit. All Eagle Creek stuff is lifetime so if the chintzier buckle breaks who gives (mine hasn't after years of being lugged all over Asia and Europe)? And it's cheaper. The hidden bill pocket is something I use all the time. It fits through all belt loops I've used, and I bet it is lighter in weight than this "military grade" level belt. Just my 2c to help out those on the fence.

You can buy the buckle for about $10 a set. Webbing is about $30 for 20 yards. Basically you can make this yourself for a fraction of the cost.
But I learned the hard way that neither buckle part will fit through most belt loops so it's not exactly practical to wear. Like some here have discovered as well, you have to remove the male half from the belt, then somehow shimmy the belt back into place (the tension on the buckle is insane).
HSLilAceTrue, the buckle is 2.25". However, if you need to remove the belt, you can just remove the webbing from the buckle and easily pull the belt off or put it on. You do not really need to separate both ends of the buckle. The release allows you to adjust the tension.
