A stunning first impression
This was my first Bestech knife and wow, is it a good start. It's beautiful. I love the shape and feel, and the fit and finish are as good as any other knife I've owned at this price point. It even competes with some of my more expensive ones. The performance is good, it rides nicely in my pocket and it opens and closes very smoothly. The blade was very sharp out of the box, so no complaints there. Seriously, this was a knife I opened and just sat there staring at it for awhile. It just ticks all my boxes in terms of design. The only small ding against it is that I had to spend some time tweaking the pivot to get it to actually stay where I want it. It works itself loose periodically and has to be re-tightened. That is easily solved using some loctite if you want to, so this is really only a very minor complaint. I feel like the knife is worth every penny. I can't speak in absolutes about Bestech's products because this is still the only knife I own from them. That said, I definitely can say it will not be the last.

Beautiful knife!
I still wish I would’ve gotten the bronze version instead of the blue, but the blue is pretty nice looking in its own regard. The blade shape and the carbon fiber inserts are what initially drew me to this. It just all works really well together and makes this a very aesthetically pleasing knife in my eyes. And since Bestech was one of the few “major” companies that I didn’t have in my collection yet, I decided to give this one a try. And I’m very glad I did. What surprised me was the finishing on the blade. A matte kind of bead blast on the grind, and a very nice horizontal satin on the flats. Looks unique and I personally really like it. The action and lockup are both awesome. Will drop shut with just the slightest push, but not in a guillotine way, but a nice easy smooth way. All in all I was very impressed and will be getting more Bestechs in the future. Actually, I’ve already added another, one of their budget offerings, the Swordfish. Another awesome knife especially for the price. Got it to try my hand at dyeing the scales and it worked fantastic. Now I have a gorgeous maroon/burgundy and black Swordfish to go with my blue Pterodactyl. Ha. Anyways, highly recommend this one and Bestech altogether. Very good, high quality stuff.

Treating this thing with care like a a good wing man, not for heavy use. Green and Gold are always good combination - I wish someone will create a Jade and Gold finish; I will pay for that effort.

You are not going to find a knife that feels this expensive for a better price than this. This is a flawlessly executed knife.

This is a sweet piece of hardware. It looks even better in person. Perfect blade centering with no play. The action on this particular example is great, and the ergonomics are fantastic. Feels very solid and has a nice heft to it without being heavy, and fills the hand without being chunky. This one was a gift for the wife, but it's so good that every now and then I sneak over to her side of the bedroom just to flip it a couple of times!

This is perhaps my most beautiful knife so far. The design of it is just gorgeous, and it's absurdly comfortable in the hand. Their design team knocked this one right out of the park!
General features : Action is buttery smooth Solid lockup, no lock stick Centering is perfect Clip rides reasonably low compared to many of these types of knives/clips Came sharp as all heck out of the box Externally I found absolutely zero issues with fit or finish or design choices
So why not 5 stars? 1-Detent. Detent detent detent! It's just strong enough that the flipper action works well, but weak enough that I can shake it open with little more than a wrist flip. Making it illegal to carry anywhere with gravity assist laws.... Like where I live. I've tried tweaking it a bit and can't find any fix that makes it any stronger. 2-Hardware. Screws feel very soft. This is SUCH an easy place where all manufacturers could improve any knife for a fraction of a percent of the total value of the knife. There no reason to skimp pennies on a $200 knife and have a customer deform a torx head on the first disassembly 3-I'm not 100% confident in the way they attached the CF:
search
As you can see, everything on this knife comes apart, the CF isn't permanently affixed to the handles.
All that holds it into the milled groove is the one screw at the tail end, and the pivot collar. On the collar end I'm not too worried, they left a decent thickness with nice clean milling:

But on the opposite end, where it's just held by a screw, that's where I have less faith. Way too thin on this end:
search
And I can't tell if it was sloppy milling, or if the CF was damaged during assembly, but either way, it was already a bit jacked up the first time I took it apart:

(both sides looked roughly the same, but this one was just slightly worse) That said, I've gotten a good feeling from the couple interactions I've had with Bestech. I feel like they would be good about replacing the inlays if it ever came to that. So I'll enjoy it as it is and be gentle if I have to disassemble again in the future

I have purchased several Bestech knives, and this is certainly one of my favorites. It must be precision manufactured to open so easily with the flipper. The blade shape and handle design give it a very distinctive look. However, the knife is not just eye candy; it is a serious knife.

I love the blade shape on this one, it is very practical to use in EDC chores. This, like all Bestech knives I've handled has exceptional balance and deploys precisely when you break the detent on them--a testament to the accurate design from Bestech--mine is superb example and had (came with) a razor sharp blade!!

Got mine in the mail today (blue). Spent some time looking for issues - couldn't find any. The detente is perfect, blade centering perfect, edge grind is consistent, sharpness is excellent, balance perfect. This baby is an absolute winner!
