This is probably my favorite “find” on MD. The D2 steel has amazing retention, and the G10 feels good in your hand. Knife is well made, and boasts sexy lines. I’m buying a few more when it becomes available again. Semper FI.
I am quite impressed with this knife. I am a fan of d2 steel for its durability and ability to take an edge. I like the design of the blade and the handle feels very solid in my hand. My main reason for purchasing it was the ceramic bearing and I am not disappointed. This has supplanted my reeve sebenza as my edc blade. And you can't beat the price.
A very well made knife with a couple flaws
First and foremost, the detent...
It feels real strong when you flip it, and the action is very snappy... But unfortunately it still can be whipped open without the flipper. Takes some effort, not saying it's going to open on it's own or anything, just that it is an issue of you life in an area with "gravity open" laws.
I've done all the normal checks and tweaks and can't get it any better.
The second issue is 2/3 of the holes in the backspacer were drilled too large, so alignment of that piece is relying on the tightness of those small screws instead of sitting tight on the spacer pins like it should.
Aside from those two things (that many people won't ever care about) it's a really nicely made knife.
D shaped pivot with matching hole to keep that logo aligned.
Perfect polishing and chamferring on the liners.
Skeletonized liners.
The milling that was done on the G10 is done nicely, though I think it needs more texturing for grip
Blade centers perfectly, no flaws in the grinds, nice and sharp out of the box.
Honestly, I don't even mind when I have to sharpen a new knife to get a satisfactory edge, but i have to say that Bestech has the most consistently good edges from any manufacturer I've bought multiple knives from
I ordered this one for my oldest son.The overall knife is built like a mac truck real solid. It's a little heavy but still a good knife. I love the D2 steel it is hard to get real sharp but using diamond hones on it - once it is sharp it stays sharp. Bestech Knives for the price you can not beat - how these guys are able to make such a good knife and sell it so low is unbelievable - D2 steel - G10 handles and a ceramic bearing
I really love this knife! Initially I was a little worried about the size and weight using this as an EDC. But it really wasn't an issue. Opening this thing makes you feel powerful. The action and lock are rock solid in every way. And it was super sharp right out of the box. I wasn't sure I was going to like the G10 scales, but once again, it ended up as a non-issue. I can't recommend this knife enough. I really want to try some of Bestech's other offerings.
