Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. I have no skin in the game, and if you can find a better price on a set that makes you happy you should go for it, just pointing out that it is not the same exact model. Cheers!
If you are able to compromise, you can get the regular Premium, the 250ohm only blackout amazon/ebay edition, or the Pro models.
This is about as tricked out of a DT model as you can get. Soft touch parts, leather headband, Premium edition features, no ugly DT Premium Color scheme, availiable in 600ohm
And I didn't know even several plastic pieces were "soft touch" coated till I got them.
It doesn't state either of those details on the product page, so I wouldn't expect you to be aware of these minute differences.
But I also put a blame on MD for misleading users with a title that doesn't reflect on what is actually been sold. If they indicated that these are the "Manufaktur" models it could clear up the confusion around here.
And this goes the same to the DT990 drop. They're also selling the Manufaktur Editions too.
