Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. But if I would somehow managed to get them shipped via courier services that amazon uses (FedEx, UPS, and no, they are not free for most international destinations) I would get charged extra 30% straight away by my customs.
So that's how Amazon international shipping works in a nutshell.
Every time this product is listed, someone comes on and posts about how much cheaper it is on amazon, then we explain this is the Premium and the Pro version is on sale. Currently, all versions of the premium are on amazon for $349.99
How can we make this more clear in the future?
Short answer, no and not even close.
I mean, the D1 can output a full 2V RMS, which is quite a hot output indeed.
This headphone has a rated sensitivity of 96 dB. It's usually listed as a Db/mW, but possibly is db/v. Either way, 2V RMS will be loud enough. Since the impedance is so high, the current capacity of the DAC is less of an issue.
That said, getting an amp for that dac is a good idea. I am running my D1 into a DIY amp.
