I realize I haven't written a review for these yet and I've had them since Jan 2016.
I personally really like the sound of these. They have good bass, and if you blast the headphones, you won't get ear-piercing highs. I don't know how else to describe the sound. They don't have much of a sound stage at all, if you really care that much about sound, but most people haven't even experienced what that sounds like.
I haven't had any issues with the build of the headphones. I wasn't babying them since they were only $40, but I have a new-found appreciation for them and have been taking special care of them (mostly where I store them). I use them daily and I travel around town a lot so they've been used a lot without issues.
They're currently outperforming my new LZ-A3S IEMs when plugged into my computer/phone. Those IEMs are $140 on massdrop, almost $200 on amazon... However, IEMs are supposed to be paired with a proper DAC &/or AMP &/or DAP to shine. But that means more money on top of the $140 DEAL to get them to beat a pair of $40 headphones...
For $40 CAD, I would recommend these if you want budget pair of great sounding in-ear headphones that you can use for several months to years without getting tired of them until you want an upgrade.

...and exactly 5 months after getting them the mini-jack brakes down. :-( Not impressed at all. Using these nearly every day.

ShaftWow really? I got these things Jan 2016 and they're still going strong... I just bought a pair of LZ-A3S' IEMs for $140 and these Beyerdynamic seem to be outperforming them...

Got mine today! And I absolutely love them. They perform well in all ranges, bass is accentuated but it has a desirable effect.

The build quality is pretty good. I've had these about a month now and they travel with me daily in my bag next to a power brick for my macbook pro and other random cables. Of course everyone treats their electronics differently. But these aren't delicate. In terms of durability, these are comparable to Apple's Earpods.

I'm pretty done with these. Took two months to arrive and the left one has stopped working already. They were great while they lasted, but this just isn't good enough.

I didn't put them in my pocket or anything like that, kept them tidily coiled in their bag whenever I wasn't using them. Then one day I plugged them in and one just didn't go anymore.

This drop currently stands at 80% fulfilled. In terms of the remaining orders, our vendor is just waiting on some additional inventory that is expected to arrive this coming Thursday. They have assured us that they will allocate the resources to have these units turned around immediately.

im gonna use these as backups whe i leave mine at home so i expect themto last a bit im replacing an 12 year old sennheiser set that just stopped working...for 40 bucks if it sound half decent and lasts a couple of year these should be fine.

How do you use them? I've had them since Jan 2016 and haven't had any issues. I was rough with them too. I've started taking proper care of them though because a lot of people are having issues...
