tzhang47The listening experience is a personal thing...
I am currently using the DM6 with mod balanced 2.5mm cable via my DAP Pioneer xdp 300r and the sound is awesome!!
JM84It depends on what you mean high ends... I found out that reasonable priced IEMs sounds just as good as the high priced IEMs. As I said it is all down to the listening experience and the genre of music.
I currently have the following IEM's:
Tin Audio T2, KZ AS10, TFZ T1 Galaxy, TFZ Series 2, NuForce HEM8, Massdrop x Nuforce EDC, Senfer XBA-6in1, Massdrop x MEE Audio Planamic, BGVP DMG, BGVP DM6.
IMO for listening to Jazz and R&B the DMG is at the top because of the different types of filters you can use and interchange with, however the DM6 is very, very close. I only just received my DM6 so it early days yet.
Edit
Well, well, well.. I have used the DM6 everyday up to 4 hours a day for 2 weeks and the DM6 has surpasses itself against the DMG..
DM6 sounds absolutely awesome with the current set up that I had stated previously (Balanced DAP Pioneer xdp 300r).
The imaging and wide sound stage is definitely there which for me is key when I am listening to Smooth jazz.
B1gdee05Can you give me an idea on how these would compare to the tfz exclusive 5?
I want to make a move up due to my addition of a fiio x5ii and opa627 in my E12diy. edit: mostly listen to classical
Thanks
B1gdee05Hey, so between the DMGs and the DM6, which one is the more neutral/reference sounding. I literally listen to all genres of music, so I need something that will not color the sound. I have the T2's and they are my favorite, and they sound amazing with everything, but I wanna step up to either the DM6, or the DMG.
ChichangaIf I didn't have either of them and was to purchase one it would be the DM6.
Only because the sound stage IMO is a little bit more open which I like but only slightly but then you can ask the question is it worth €40 more......
That I cannot answer so it depends on your affordability as they both sound awesome..
PotrzebaThe HEM8 does sounds very good but the question is does the price of the HEM8 justify its price with the DM6..
Well IMO no.. The DM6 with a little more sound stage and a bit more clarity sounds more superior than the HEM8.
I am not saying that the HEM8 is a bad pair of IEMs but it's not better than the DM6.
Yes I do have both but the DM6 is the one for me when I want to hear every little detail especially when using balance cable.
