Looks like they're using the TangBand 4" titanium full range. Not a bad driver considering the cost of the final product. This would be quite nice for a small office or bedroom.
The talking in the video only being in the left channel makes me a bit weary of the quality of this, you'd think audio pros would know how to correct that..
EDIT: Scratch that, carry on! Say the post by BlueTube. I definitely want these. Ugh, money.
Hey guys, sorry our video is so terrible. (we don't even have it on our site anymore since the amp has changed so much from that first prototype) We're working with a real production company for a future video right now. We can cut some beautiful wood and wire some awesome electronics but my video editing skills leave something to be desired! any questions just shout 'em out and I'll try to be prompt in responding.
Rayvolution, The Tubes we use are 10GV8's.
Sanibuy, yep Andy had contacted us and let us know the MSRP was wrong on the site and after I changed it I forgot to press save, it's fixed now.

Either way, these speakers/amp look like a beautiful product. If I could afford this set, I'd join this buy in a heartbeat.
Can't afford, but still want. :(
worst youtube video for audio product!

Thanks!

hehe, I think he's saying he would say that to the vendor's face. but, bravado is easy to muster on the internet.
Very cool-looking system, at least from the outside. Has anybody seen a write-up from a well-know/respected amp reviewer? A quick search isn't pulling anything up.

This is what I could find:
http://diyaudioprojects.com/Tubes/K-12M/audioXpress-review-of-S5-Electronics-K-12M-Tube-Amp-Kit.pdf
http://www.audioasylum.com/cgi/vt.mpl?f=amp&m=164659
Basically, it's a very heavily modified version of the reviews mentioned above. I've personally built the kit version and I've been loving it for 8 years. It's easy to modify and upgrade and there a lot of enthusiasts built around this model.
Beautiful equipment!
That Kickstarter video with its terrible audio (while trying to sell an audio product) is doing it a disservice though.
The MSRP seems to be wrong. The cheapest bundle price on official site shows BT-4 + speakers is $1295, and that's their discounted price.
sanibuy
MSRP is correct, they have it wrong on their site.
What kind of tubes does it take?
Also the main picture amp looks a lot different than the other pictures (6 tubes vs. 4 and orientation of the rods). Edit: Pic fixed
Rayvolution
The 6 tube is the BT-6 thats a little more expensive.
