Is this pre assembled? Can i add leds later if i want?
No RGB underglow is pictured but descriptions says it is supported? Does that mean the PCB supports underglow but the case does not?
I'm curious whether it would be possible to replace the Kaihl Choc compatible hotswap sockets with Cherry MX compatible sockets. I'm comfortable with the idea of unsoldering and soldering in new sockets if the sockets' solder pads are layed out in the same places. Also, the holes in the PCB would need to match. I guess a normal person would just go looking for a different product, but I do like the look and square layout of this one. I would, of course, try out the switches and may decide they are fine, but it would be good to have options should I not like them.

The pin footprints are different, they won't fit in the same socket.

That's too bad. If I were manufacturing hotswap sockets for both of my switch types, I would make them so that they soldered to the same footprint in the PCB so that anyone who wanted to build keyboards could simply run off thousands of PCBs, then choose which switch type they supported simply by changing the type of hotswap socket. I guess Kaihl don't give a crap about their corporate customers. :P
Are the hot swappable sockets Cherry compatible?
donatj
Nope.
Anyone has any guide on the kailh choc switches? I'd like to know the specs of each color for the switches mentioned here.

you should really adopt stackoverflow mentality and attach a link to the resource :)

You can find the spec sheets here. It's the standard linear/tactile/clicky with 50 and 70g actuation force https://novelkeys.xyz/products/kailh-low-profile-switches

Would it be possible to see a side by side of the gray with the CTRL keyboard?
This would be perfect if it was wireless (still tempting) Not sure why nobody seems to make a wireless macro pad yet. I've been using a wireless mechanical number pad instead.

Can you send me a link to a wireless RGB macro pad? Thanks buddy ūüĎć

I don't think they have any wireless on the market yet but this is available if looks aren't super important. http://www.maxkeyboard.com/max-falcon-20-rgb-custom-programmable-mini-macropad-mechanical-keyboard-assembled.html
Are the hotswap sockets compatible with regular MX switches

An Ergodox or Iris might be right for you!
Check out dygma.com they are basically head on with what you are asking for. Essentially two separate "pads" that can connect together to form a keyboard, multiple thumb keys where the space bar would go, with the main downside being that its quite a bit pricey, but definitely something unique.
