donutholerLinseed oil made the grain stand out a little better, and more importantly protects the wood from grime and oils from the hands. The furniture polish then gives it the shiny luster and depth that the linseed oil doesn't. Hard to catch in photos, but I tried to show how the light reflects on it now. If I wasn't lazy, I'd take it apart and give the scales a finer sand job, but it's fine for a pocket carry piece. Already some fine lint build up in the crevices between the scales and liner edges from me carrying it around in my pocket for a day.
Further edit.
After posting them, I got "un"lazy, actually took off the scales and hit them with 600 grit and refinished same way. I also mirror polished every little screw, the pocket clip, and the pivot heads. Looks even nicer now.. i wanted to polish the handle spacer too, but it has some weird tiny torx size i dont have. The ikbs bearings wont come out/loose, as long as you keep the pivot area squeezed together when you pop out the pivot. FYI, a fully loaded Glock 19 has enough weight to keep the pivot area together while the pivot is out :-)
