I have the version of this with the timer, purchased at William-Sonoma a number of years ago. In the beginning it worked well, but over time it's started to fail in a variety of ways:

The coffee in the carafe isn't very hot, even just after it finishes.
Water leaks from the reservoir, leaving a mess on the counter.
Can't wash the carafe in the dishwasher, otherwise water gets between the insulated layers.

I'm quite curious to try the Technivorm Moccamaster or the Breville Precision Brewer.

Which Model is this brewer? BV1900ts or BV1901TS

caudex1It looks like it's the 1900. The 1901 (Connoisseur) has the filter basket on rails, rather than sitting directly on top of the carafe.

This is a really great coffee maker. From brew temp to brew time and the sealed carafe! Just be sure to grab a burr grinder.

GeoffCommaI'm going to wager 110V. The 220V model (http://bonavitaworld.com/products/8-cup-one-touch-220-volts) has a V-shaped filter basket, rather than a flat-bottomed.

I have a similar Bonavita with a glass carafe. It's been good to me over the last 2 years I'd recommend it. They sometimes show up at TJX/Marshalls in the 120-150 range so I'd say this is a pretty good deal.

Highest recommendation possible for this unit. I use it every morning to brew delicious coffee. No bells and whustles, just a well engineered unit. I paid much for mine. I'm in on this for a backup or gift.
