To be honest, I've never understood the hype over Jaybirds. I owned a pair of the X2 and I thought they sounded pretty decent, but they were so large and stuck out of my ears so much I thought they looked ridiculous and ended up returning them. I'm guessing they pack everything into the earbuds themselves which is why they are so large, as opposed to making the button case larger. I use Jarv NMotion Pro at the gym and I am happy with it. I don't need audiophile sound when I'm working out or running. The left earbud died out on my original pair, but for ~$25 it wasn't an issue for me. The earbuds and case are quite compact as well. I also picked up the SGIN bluetooth headphones on Amazon. Even though they don't offer Apt-X, they do use an MMCX connector so I've been using my UM Pro 10 with them. For $25 they will work with any headphones using MMCX. Just for the heck of it I've tested them with the UE 900s, NuForce Primo & Pinnacle P1; I wouldn't use these at the gym, I sweat profusely.
