Hey has anyone encountered a problem where they seem to charge and supply the blue light but do not turn on when put into the ears? Since receiving them I have been unable to turn them on. Not too sure if this is a manufacturing fault or I am doing something wrong.
Cheers
Ok, I've had these since the original Kickstarter.
TLDR: They're great if you're not fat.
Basically, the connection can't go through stomach fat that well, so if you're fat and carry your phone in your left pocket (front or back), forget it (receiver is in the right earphone). If you are fat and carry your phone in your left pocket, it will drop out for half a second every 5 minutes or so, bearable. If you are thin and carry it in either pocket they're perfect. Make sure you install the latest firmware, version 3 is great, version 2 or less is bad, and the source of most bad reviews.
The microphone is good in non-windy environments, ok in noisy environments, great in quiet environments.
Otherwise, the charge lasts at least 2hrs at max volume, they sound great, much less visible than apple airpods with much lower 'wanker' factor, they're waterproof, you can load your own music in them and swim and/or leave your phone at home. Touch controls work great, fit (for me) is great.
The negatives are, the heartrate and O2 sensors that were promised are useless (software lets it down, not hardware), the case they fit in to recharge is giant and metal, and its fiddly to get them to sit flush with the case and recharge, unless you spend 20secs getting it right they might be flat the next time you go to use them.
However, no regrets, lost these for a year and still worked when I recharged them, great support, great longevity, no bluetooth pairing issues, would purchase again if I lost them.
These are terrible. From my right pocket to my right ear the signal is constantly degraded and dropping. Unless you feel like holding your phone to your head, these will not be useful unless you want to use the onboard memory for 4 gigs of mp3s that you can not navigate in anyway besides back/foward. You could use theme for phone calls but no one will be able to hear you and if they do you will sound like you are under water. These are not the 'new updated' Pro models and as such are just beyond terrible. There is a moral issue with companies that still sell these for Bragi after Bragi has supposedly fixed the issue in new hardware revision but still push these old useless pieces of crap everywhere.
Don't buy these unless you want to be frustrated. The connection is extremely inconsistent, there's no interface for music on the devices in the app, and the health features are inaccurate. I haven't had an opportunity to compare to the Pro.
I should have read the reviews before buying these. The connection issue gave me a headache literally. The connection keep dropping on and off with the phone only 3 ft away in the pocket, how is this even legit. but ill just have to deal with it as it is, sigh! its a bad product, i wish they could fix this with software updates hopefully.
