The I.M.P., short for “In My Pocket” is a stout fixed blade originally brought to life by Geoff Blauvelt of Tuffknives and later improved upon by BRS. This 5.7-inch knife features a wide, aggressively shaped tanto blade made of tough AUS-8 stainless steel. At 3.8 millimeters thick, it’s built to pierce and slice through stubborn materials without hiccups—and the acid stonewash finish will help hide nicks and scratches that accumulate. The handle is a standout, too: Made of G-10 with the distinctive BRS Chevron pattern in blue or digital camo, it’s easy on the eyes. Plus, the I.M.P. includes a kydex sheath for ease of carry.
Note: At checkout, choose blue or digital camo. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we can only ship this knife to select countries. Before BRS (Blade Runner Systems) began producing knives, it was deeply involved in the knife community through balisong flipping and manipulation. The company’s first design—the Alpha Beast, which was met with great praise—was a combination of all the best features requested by balisong competitors, enthusiasts, and more. As the company grew, so too did its catalogue. Building on the community-inspired design of its balisong blade, BRS started creating other kinds of edges, including flippers, fixed blades, and more. Now, the company produces a wide range of edged tools built to its high standards.
