I'm getting extremely low volume with mine, but this is a notorious bug with Win8/10 that Microsoft have yet to diagnose or fix. I know this because many others have reported the same with different microphones, and it's happened to me with different mics.
So it seems I've wasted my money on this because the mic on my Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 works better.
