Yes, I'm frightened of boring comments and boring commenters who contribute little or nothing of interest to conversations, but expect me participate in game-saying drivel at great expense to my time and patience. I suspect that smallish number by your name is an indication that you've made a similar impression on a large number of people? Come back when you've something interesting to say.
RayFYeah, I have a life outside of trolling Massdrop retailers such as J Fitzpatrick. It usually involves talking to real humans and not furiously typing from my mom's basement. Good bye now!
BpittinRush by Gordon Rush. Great buy! Found them at a Outlet store for $30!!!! Don't know how they slipped through but they are one of my oldest pair of nice shoes!
I would recommend against ordering up. The drop page clearly states both the US and UK size you are ordering. If Massdrop or CS get it wrong, make them replace or refund. Don’t place the wrong order just to try to pre-empt a possible error on the other side.
Those earlier comments took place around the time when we had an issue with sizing on a Carmina event and people started to speculate the same would hold true for this event. If you pick the size you'd normally pick, you should be fine. At checkout we list both the US and UK size for every choice. Thanks for your interest on this drop!
nlaxHi @nlax ! Thanks so much for flagging this to us. Fortunately we were able to contact the vendor and negotiate better pricing for our community members. Hope this helps you make the decision~!
RayFYou just love wasting time on the internet, don't you? Either a grumpy old man or a 12-year old living in his momma's basement. Now, please, do elucidate us, which one is it?!
DJCOSTCOSAMPLESIt seems like their alentenjo is as close as it gets to oxblood.
Being the owner of a few pairs of AE 8.5D park avenues as well and it seems the 65 last is a little narrower than the Carlos Santos 234 last; however because the monk strap comes with 2 straps with 3 holes in it there's a lot of room for adjustment, and they're elastic. Otherwise the conversion seems accurate 8.5US = 7.5UK.
The quality of Carlos Santos also seem to be on par with my AEs; and more aesthetically pleasing... to me.
It's not exactly the same shoe. The link you see is for their regular monkstrap, these are their patina program series where the color is applied by hand, layer by layer until achieving the color you see in the images.
Any data points on the sizing here in this new Z401 last? I wear 6.5 UK in their 160 last, which is more elongated and narrower. I believe a 6 would offer a better fit. Not exactly sure how the two lasts compare.
