With the capability to charge up to 7 USB devices at once, the 7-Port ChargeHub is a universal charging station that uses SmartSpeed technology to provide the best charge on the market. It’s built with a single power supply to minimize excess cords, and utilizes a blue LED power indicator to relay power status Read More
The base price is $37. Add the international charger for $30 you get $67. When an item goes over $42 (varies depending on currency rates) heavy import fees kicks in, so the total goes closer to $115 then the $50 it would be for the base item plus shipping.
I just want a power adapter I can use in my home country of Norway, but that means I need the international power adaptor.
What kind of circuit protection does it have? Say my device is broken and is drawing too much current than it should be, will this hub stop the feed? Also does it have reverse voltage protection?
Thanks for your reply.
My thing is, a $45USD charging station (on sale) should do everything that I need it to do with regard to charging. Plug this device into some other device if you want to charge your devices safely just won't cut it at this price point. Maybe for some, not for me.
TomaCzarHopefully, the price here will get down to the $36.99, as it did during our last promotion and will be the least expensive price on the market for this product, considering its unique capabilities.
Ok, so if I have every port being used, what is the relative charge time for any of the devices? Will the devices charge at normal speed if say they were using their default single charge plugged into the wall?
luddy2009Each port will accommodate up to 2.4 amps, which will provide optimal charge for any connected USB-chargeable device, up to 8.8 amps total output current. The charge time will vary depending on the manufacturer/type of connected device, as well as it's percentage of battery at the current time (draws more power when near "dead"). Fortunately, the ChargeHub will charge at the equivalent or faster speed (optimal speed) than if the device was plugged-in with its default charger cube/outlet.
Well, according to the picture, the regular power adaptor also adjusts the voltage. That means that the plastic feet are $30 extra. With import fees that come in when an item costs more then $45 the price goes from $50 for the item to about $115 with the travel adaptor since all the extra fees gets added on.
Ohh well, hopefully I will find something else later.
belowynThe International Travel Kit is only $30, so we're not sure where you got those other numbers from, as that is not the case at all. Are you trying to purchase and export? The costs would be considerably less than what you have referenced.

JellyWooThe ChargeHub will not support the Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 Technology, as its unique to their brand, but connected devices will charge at a standard rate for Qualcomm's smartphones.
Is the only way to optimize the charging hub, must you use their car charger unit or is there one out there with the same output that there charger gives...?
Gigs_is_90xIf you are looking to charge in your car or mobile vehicle, the recommended car charger is the Vehicle Power Cable for ChargeHub, as it meets the necessary specifications. If you can find another car cable that has those same specifications and barrel connector dimensions, then that may work, but is not reccomended.
