If you’re combing your hair by hand or with a plastic model from the drugstore, it might be time to take your grooming routine to the next level. Your answer? Read More
refactorizedThanks very much for your question. We developed a technique to polish the right angles of the comb, including the edges of tines, so they are slightly beveled and smooth. There definitely shouldn't be any issue with getting snagged hairs, but if you have any kind of issue with the comb , please contact us and we'll take care of you.
best regards,

Chicago Comb Co.
For what it's worth, I bought one from the drop with the primary intention of getting a discount on the sheath. Then I ordered the black titanium model one, with free engraving, directly from their website.
I've gotta say I think I like the feel of the steel one better... The heft vs the lighter titanium just feels better in my hand for this application.
Anyways, they both feel/look/work great so if this drops again and someone is on the fence I'd say go for it. If you don't loose it or get it stolen then you have your comb problem solved for life.
ldiegommcrThis comb is made of high-grade stainless steel, which has some major advantages over plastic: it's anti-static, unlike traditional plastic combs; it's much stronger and more durable than any plastic comb, so you can buy it once and have it for a lifetime; and it doesn't have any of the sketchy chemicals you find in many cheap plastic combs.

Man, why does Massdrop never get the titanium option?
Chicagocomb has a current holiday sale ongoing including titanium combs with free US shipping and free engraving, also some titanium imperfect combs available.
BenjrminGreat question! Here's some information from the gentlemen at Ashland Leather, with whom we collaborate on making these sheaths:
Reverse shell, similar to regular, doesn't need much care. Maybe once or twice per year.
However, we have found Tanners Blend to be the best product for cleaning/conditioning/polishing reverse shell cordovan. A small 2oz bottle will go a long way and will suffice.
Brush with horse hair brush, apply a small amount of Tanners Blend with a clean cloth, spread evenly, let sit for about 5 minutes, brush again with horse hair brush.
(Tanner's Blend is made by Ashland; it's been featured here on Massdrop and you also can get it elsewhere).
We've done their other models in the past and they're sure to return. So stay tuned!
You can always find it by typing on the search bar "Chicago Comb" and find the Model 1.
Once you're in the page, you can click the Request Drop button and be notified when it comes back.
Hope this helps!
