So my own challenge is to get an IBM model M style buckle spring key in one of those slots somehow.
Anyone know the size of square hole?
So can you remove the switches after assembly from these?
Also am i wrong or was that case with the previous version, you couldnt remove switches?
FassionPruit
It depends how you build it.
If you just snap in the switches, then yes they can be removed easily.
It comes with an optional center piece which makes it stronger but the switches more difficult to remove.
Finally you can add a drop of glue to the center piece at which point you can't remove them.
You are correct, the switches cannot be removed from the pre-assembled models.
There is an assembly guide with more info here https://www.clickeybits.com/assembling-yourself

Yeah Id like that
This is, indeed, cheaper than on their website. With the CTRL coupon I had, it's only $10 with tax.

What is a CTRL coupon?
Jdjung
Massdrop has a keyboard called the CTRL. First run droppers got a ten dollar coupon.
This, again?!

Last time it wasn't DIY and cost significantly more. I like this better.

Not only that, but you got 2.... I didn't need one let alone 2. But now that it's cheaper, I *might* go for it.
