Very disappointed that the user friendly version of the flasher requires you to sign up on the cloud.
I get it, but not everything needs to be "on the cloud". Dropping it in the drawer and will forget about it.
Sadness.
PawnerdThat would be better, but some workflows like manufacturing and testing need to be offline. These machines tend to get quite old and frequently work on an isolated network. Your keyboard is a great mechanical fit for these environments, but your software falls short. Don't cut out an entire market segment, just to be "On the Cloud".
Yes, I know I can modify the open source code, but then I would just build it myself if I wanted to code at that level.
JstormesI am trying to think of a solution, which is kind of hard. To make it offline, I would need to bring a lot from the cloud back to the local system, which will require a lot of dependencies to compile the firmware.
Do you think, that if the online tool could generate some sort of file that could be opened by the knops tool without internet connection to change the keymap would be a solution? Then you would still need a network connection to create the keymap but not for flashing it.
