Product Description
This army green overshirt from Corridor is both a heavy button-up and a light jacket—an easily packable layer that works as well over a T-shirt as it does over a lightweight collared shirt. Made in an 80-year-old workwear factory in Elizabeth, New Jersey, it’s crafted from mid- to heavyweight canvas that’s been dyed in Japan Read More
I can see how it's hard to get people sold on this. From the close-up photos you can see that the fabric is an unusual texture that would stand out in real life, but from the main photo it simply looks like an everyday utilitarian shirt. It's like seeing a gourmet burger on a menu for $35. Even someone who would pay that much for a steak made out of the same beef will still feel like a burger should always have a working-class price. Overshirts are kind of like that.
This is a little steep for a single shirt, and if they're marketing this as an outer layer this is a little less substantial for what I'd expect from an outer layer
The sizes seem huge. I normally wear and XL, but I feel like the medium here would fit me based on the sizing chart. I guess it could be because it's an overgarment though.
Welcome Corridor NYC to Massdrop, everyone!
One of the most exciting made-in-the-US brands we’ve come across in recent sourcing trips, Corridor navigates the line between fit, quality and character of fabrics so beautifully it is no wonder they’re in some of menswear’s best beloved retail spaces across the globe.
Because everything is made in small batches in the NY tri-state area, this run of shirt jackets is being cut exclusively for us — hence the higher drop point. We think it’s a great layering piece for the chillier days of fall with styling that’s simple enough for anyone to give it a try. The quality here is superb: from the authentic Corozo buttons hand-dyed in New York to the fabric choice for a garment of this type, this overshirt is a truly great staple.
Please refer to sizing chart for measurements.
TomasVI'm guessing you meant to say the quality is "superb" rather than "subpar" :) - any chance of tall sizes? Any available sleeve length measurements? Thanks!
QuaziWhoops! Thanks for catching that. No options for tall sizes on this garment. As far as sleeve length the size S has a 34" sleeve measurement which is on the longer side of things for a S. Again, this is meant to be an outer garment/layer so the sizing will be a lot more "loose" fitting than a regular shirt.
