Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

you can also start a warranty claim on creative's website for a replacement, but you have to pay for shipping the unit to them.
why would i deliberately try to find something wrong with the unit and go through the hassle of sending it back for another unit? you don't test things you buy for defects? maybe money comes easy to you, but $300 ain't chump change to the average joe. stop taking criticisms/complaints of this product personally. they're about the product, not your character. it boggles me why you were so quick to make such a polarizing statement after reading a single comment from me, maybe it has something to do with your username.
"Sounds like you want to find something wrong with the X7" can be easily and reasonably interpreted as a jab at me, going on the defensive would be the logical response (and FYI that is not an "extremely defensive position," i would reserve that description for name-calling). you should be clear in your wording as well if you wish to not be misunderstood.
my past posts are reasonable complaints and comments regarding the experience i'm having with this drop. i wouldn't say starting to complain after seeing the shipment get delayed for 2 weeks and waiting for 5 days without a reply from massdrop's support team is being "quick to be unhappy." if i was quick to be unhappy i'd have asked for a chargeback from my bank without saying a word on here.

My unit is super crisp, clear and clean... my system has never sounded better!
