Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. The speakers are a bit larger and heavier than I expected, but that's not a negative - just know that you might have to get creative, depending on your desk. Personally, I have a very small desk with an Ergotech/LG bundle that extends beyond both sides. I found that I needed to lay the speakers on their sides, feet facing inwards, so they'd have clearance underneath my monitors. A few balls of Blu-Tack act as perfectly serviceable feet for this (any poster putty should be fine.)
My sole gripe is that I'm stuck with the white color scheme. The specs on the LE are a nice step up (especially for anyone who has, or may obtain particularly demanding headphones) but I keep seeing pictures of the original and feeling like it would suit my desk better. When the warranty is up, I might have to see about changing that in some way.
