I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

So far it pops with my Fidelio X2 and Beyer 880s.
I'm most likely going to replace the optical just to make sure, but it's noticeable.
My problem before was when I would be playing The Division with music in the background (media app) it would make popping sounds and hurt my ears. It was so random and distinct that it really did hurt. I thought it was the optical cable which I cleaned, but that one setting set to mute fixed it. From the box, it's set up for PC play.
If you're on the fence about this, get it. I had a Schiit stack and debated between this and the m9xx and I'm glad I went with this. The sound quality is amazing and it's so feature rich, it's perfect for gaming. Music sounds good too with Dolby and the effects.
I never really did believe the hype between dac and amp making headphones sound great, but with this I can be a believer. Would help if all my music was FLAAC and run from a PC. On the Fidelio x2 it sounds superb.
My headphones: sennheiser 598, 650, Beyer 880/600 990/600, the x2, fostex mk3, k7xxs etc
Since you have the X2s you're pretty much set. It's one of the best cans for gaming.
Don't be like me and get stuck in midfi. I have so many other headphones that I didn't list, I'd probably have been better off with the HD800s or LCD3. Although, I did get the THx00 purps drop that is active now.
