Originally designed for Creative Labs’ coL gaming team—and the team’s current headset of choice (along with Team Epsilon)—the Creative Sound BlasterX H5 Special Edition Headset is now available exclusively on Massdrop. With all the features of the original, but made with a more pronounced side plate for even more detail, this tournament-grade headset is limited to 400 units. Combining crisp audio and extreme comfort, it’s equipped with two 50-millimeter Full Spectrum drivers for immersive audio. Unique to the BlasterX H5 drivers is their tilted design, which creates a mini acoustic chamber to reduce resonance and increase sound separation. On this drop, we're throwing in two mics, too: the original microphone and the tournament spec microphone, which has a more aggressive background noise filter for louder environments—not to mention it was designed with input from eSports pros. The headset comes pre-tuned out of the box so you can jump in the action right away.
Note: This drop will include the Original microphone and Tournament Edition Microphone.
At checkout, you'll have the option to purchase the Sound BlasterX G1 for (+$30). This drop is limited to 400 Units.
Constructed with a steel and aluminum framework that pairs with soft-touch plastic, memory foam earpads, and plush leatherette, the headset is light enough to take on the go, but hefty enough to maintain its structural integrity. A flexible, reinforced steel band provides a snug fit without overpowering your dome. Anchored to the headset is a detachable noise-reduction microphone, which provides clear voice quality and can easily be removed for a transition to the streets. (We're also throwing in a tournament spec mic for this run.) Quickly control volume, music, and voice calls right from the built-in inline remote, too. Plus, you can download Sound BlasterX Acoustic Engine Lite for professionally tweaked enhancements to boost your game.
Compact and powerful, the plug-and-play Sound BlasterX G1 delivers crystal clear audio with 7.1 HD positional surround sound for the most immersive gaming experience on PC, Mac, and PlayStation 4. X-Plus Mode, which is accessed only when paired with the BlasterX G1, enhances audio on important in-game noises—like footsteps, gunshots, and power-ups—for an acoustic advantage over your opponents. Plus, the G1 powers headphones up to 300 ohms impedance, so you can plug in a hefty pair of cans without worry.

The Original Spec microphone was designed with the massive surge in video streaming and content creation in mind. It is focused primarily on pure voice reproduction and broadcast level voice imaging. As such, this microphone is ideal for use in environments that are closed and with limited noise. If you’re streaming or creating content in a room with moderate noise, this mic will deliver fantastic vocal clarity while still suppressing normal background noise.
The Tournament Spec microphone was developed with feedback from eSports professionals that practice in the same room with each other or compete on the tournament floor. The microphone has a much more aggressive background noise filter and allows for great voice communication even in loud environments. If you tend to play in loud environments, this is the mic for you.
