Gear2flyA lot of items are under other companies but they can't be 100 percent all the time...on the average u r safe with Massdrop.....Waiting is just part of the negative but I seem ok with it and so do a ton of other shoppers....Nothing is 4 everyone.....
I really like this knife design and have had my eye on it for awhile. It has always seemed a little overpriced to me though, so I've never pulled the trigger. And this Drop isn't really a good deal. At the time of this posting you can find it on Amazon for $50.33 with free shipping.
Right! I always check around the web before "pulling the trigger," I just withdrew from a drop yesterday for that reason. Sometimes there are no discounts. You'll see the same price on all sites. Most the time a manafacturer mandate.
Yeah, I've noticed the same. I still find a good deal on here once in awhile, but there are a significant number of items you can often find at the same price or even cheaper like this particular example.
Melliferouscrkt has great customer service.. i inquired regarding the price and buying some sheaths for my fixed blades i bought several years before that were lost in a move. they sent me replacements....for free.....
bambam67 Just picked a new one up on eBay for $46 shipped and a much shorter wait. Sometimes these drops have no discount. sometimes they are good just have to look at each one and decide with research before pulling the trigger.
I handled this knife once, and was VERY put off by the complete lack of ergonomics. This knife is just a fractal of hot spots. About as comfortable as holding a butter knife by the wrong end.
Shawn-Fcan you add some specifics? im looking at it and it looks sleek but what are the minuses?

This is a great knife. I have this, the mid-tech version, and the custom version. However, for those of us in the USA, the price + shipping is no bargain.
I actually own this. It feels great in hand, I love it for food prep, and the action is pretty good for a sub-$100 flipper. There are two major problems (and I've heard the issues I have had lined up with the most common complaints about this knife). The blade centering can be way off. I've never been able to completely fix mine so every time I open the knife it goes off center to the point that the action gets screwed up. And lock stick is an issue. I can tear my thumb up trotting to disengage the lock, which is no fun.
musicallmtMine also has lock stick, and that keeps me from carrying it. It's also a bit pricey for the steel, so in the end I basically paid for the design!

Can you believe they dare to ask €109,95 (=$ 131,52) for this here in Holland? That's insane...
