Why does Massdrop add this knife and then charge more than 1/3 of the value in shipping? That negates the deal and the incentive to buy...

worm_guardEbay, 2 years ago. I just looked but didn't see any offered. I did see back spacers for other models. Maybe those folks can make you one. Good luck.

I got one of these from Amazon. Love the shape and look of the blade, but feels heavy for a small knife. I find it hard to unlock the blade and often have to use two hands to do it.

DkordTry pinching the hole with thumb and index finger and swing the handle out. Unusual method for opening but works extremely well for this knife. ;)

Even with this steel, I'd recommend this. It feels amazing in the hand and the blade is much thicker than most would expect. It'll do everything you would expect it to do. It'll obviously not cut through a branch in one swoop, but for opening boxes and other tasks like that, it's perfect.

I guess it used to be a little more on Amazon, but even if it reaches the lower price here, with shipping it's more than Amazon... I'm excited to have this two days from now! :)

Great little knife. I'm hoping there is an upscale version in the future with a deeper carry clip, titanium scales, and good blade steel.

DaveJBladeHQ has “coming soon” variants that are a little larger and some improved materials. This one says it will have a D2 blade and G10 show scale. I also like the little flipper tab that’s been added: https://www.bladehq.com/item--CRKT-Pilar-Large-Frame-Lock-Knife--92293

I'm hoping the CF model makes a comeback at BHQ or somewhere else. They sold out while I was filling my cart with other goodies. There is probably enough demand for another run.
