I love this design and especially like the olive color. However I don't buy stuff made out of leather.
Would be so on this if they ever released a version made of rubber, silicone, or the compressed microfiber faux leather.
I think you are failing to comprehend that materials science progresses over time. Taking for example motorcycle “leathers”, you may well survive with more skin in a cordura, kevlar and lexan suit. Check out what competitive motorcyclists wear. Their may be leather cosmetic pieces, but where the rubber meets the road? Synthetic materials. As far as industrial and construction environments, I hVe worked in industrial food production. Chemical imperviousness was more crucial than wear, again synthetic material wins. But keep on with your John Wayne shoes and wallets. To each their own.
Hmmm interesting that there's no shots of the exterior band being used to hold bills, and no demonstration of removing cards from the pocket in the video. Gotta say, it makes me question how well the design functions as a, y'know, WALLET.
CalaverasgrandeTrayvax makes the summit(20 or 30 with rfid shield), the axis(40), and the original 2.0(50) that are only metal. Dango has the spec-ops series. It uses a material like cordura instead of leather but the simplest model is 100. Hope all that helps
schroedsI don't have the civilian but rather the tactical one so I can't answer definitively but in the tactical one cards fit and are secure in the leather side of the wallet. When the tool is in the wallet you lose the space for about 3 cards but I usually just use the leather pocket part anyway, my license, my debit card, and a credit card is all I usually carry but there is room for a couple cards on the other side of the tactical wallet. The cards go in and out easily of the leather pocket. I'm sure after time this leather will stretch a bit but mine is a bit less than a year old and have not noticed any looseness yet.
Actually the only strange part is space for cash, I just put it under the silicone band but the size you have to fold it to is awkward, I find the cash does not usually stay secured so it just ends up in my pocket. Maybe this is just a sign that people don't carry cash as much but I still do.
I just got the Dapper D01 version of this wallet from my wife day before yesterday - when I opened the tin box it was full of white dog/cat hair, half of the aluminum RFID paneling was just missing(???), no included paracord loop like I’ve been told comes with each wallet, the aluminum edging was scratched and dinged up, color and finish was sad at best and inside the corner “loop” there was sharp metal pieces...I contacted Dango yesterday and this morning I sent it back for a full refund so there’s absolutely nothing wrong with their customer service, their quality control however 🤔
