You vastly underestimate the demand for WIDE shoes........try checking out some of the numerous articles that have been written about how our feet are getting bigger, yet shoe stores still seem to think we're all a size 10D.
If you looked at my transaction history you'd notice that I've purchased just about every shoe option Massdrop has carried except for those where the info specifically states that wide feet bois should look elsewhere. I'm talking about the Carmina and Carlos Santos shoe drops you've offered. If you include wide sizes, I'd buy every drop ha! I have a problem for sure...
Please straighten this size selection out so these can be ordered. Or let us know they are only available in extra wide "EE" width. Which if that is the case is ridiculous.
Any idea how flexible they are in the toe/forefoot area. Broke bone in ball of foot years ago and so try to wear shoes that keep the big toe from bending much...serious hiking boots or the thick soled Hoka OneOne Clifton 5 running shoes. Are these the sort of stiff-soled hiking shoe I should get?
Are these only available in EE width? After selecting my size the website forces a selection from the EE menu.

I think the option selectors are set up incorrectly.
If I were to buy, I'd want wide, but it forces me to select a size from both selectors.
For the "Buy" button to become active, I have only to select from both selectors. (They don't have to match)
If I were to want normal width, I'd seem to be out of luck.
I suspect the second selector should be something more like "yes" or "no".
Edit: Fixed now.
chuggerBefore they fixed this listing I found them on another website, in stock, for the same price and I already have them. They are great shoes and fit as expected. Highly recommended.
ecolemanThanks ecoleman. I was able to confirm with Danner that only a few of their boots are made in USA. So instead, I purchased a pair of Keen Rialto from REI; they are made in USA (manufactured in Portland I believe). I really like them. Got them one day before we left for a few days of hiking in Anza-Borrego so no time to "break-in". NOT NEEDED! They were comfortable out of the box. I highly recommend them if you want low hiking shoes.
rbrowning1635I don't have personal experience wearing these shoes yet, but Danner's website says this on how they fit: "Inspired from trail running, the DT6 last features an 8mm offset from heel to toe with slightly more width in the forefoot for stability and a good-looking, everyday-wearable aesthetic."
rbrowning1635I own several pair of Danner and I find their sizing to be consistent across their models. I don't own these yet, but I do have a pair of the Camp Sherman's and they are fantastic. I wear the same size Danner as I do with New Balance, Puma, and Hoka. Hope that helps.
