RayFWhit or whitout the airpod case?
Lol Dat Walrus though! Its three photos of sand dunes stitched together, with extra color saturation added for fun and abstraction. I love the good ‘ol trees and water picture too, it feels alive yet soothing for me :) Instagram is just for fun, for me. Thanks for the YouTube tips! Since the lockdown and everything changing, I did reboot my EvShrug YouTube channel to specifically focus on teaching headphone audio basics. Not product reviews, just good criteria to evaluate what you need and what to look for to decide if something will suit your taste. Working on a video about amplifiers this week. I also started a Discord and I’ll be adding invites for that into my vid descriptions too. I did a guide here on Drop about the current state of bluetooth. Put a lot into it, and Drop used a photo of it in their Panda Kickstarter video, but they didn’t credit me for it. While I like Drop and the community here, I gotta look for something that will pay off. I don’t have a Patreon, but I’m adding my Drop referral links, and I think I’ll sign up for Amazon’s affiliate program once I have a website (they require a website link, I don’t honestly know if a link to a YouTube channel counts). Still learning, but it’s been very rewarding! The goal of the YouTube channel isn’t to make money though, at least not directly... about equal with wanting to help people enjoy audio as much as I do, I also think it’s a better way than a resume or portfolio to show companies they should hire me as a spokesperson, product manager, or whatever ;)

tinamou62That is a SPICY meatball! Actually, due to it's reinforced memory foam... it may do a decent job of insulating. Not something we tested for though, here's the testing we DID do: Savior Deep Dive Video: https://youtu.be/rTu18Jla0lw

$5 off! I remember when buying here was great because the discount now it's a joke, should be $35 or $40.

I WANT to buy it but you made it a soft case... I’m astonished that Dekoni would market a SOFT case for very pricey headphones which we want to PROTECT. What am I missing here? 😅

trellusIt's a soft case with thick, fairly stiff padding. Thicker than camera cases and much thicker than other standard headphone cases. It's not a hard case like the storage boxes from high-end headphones like Sennheiser, Sony, HiFiman and many others, but it is much lighter and more compact for transport or hanging from something like a hook or pin-board. So, while it's not great on it's own for shipping, it does protect against drops and scratches, short exposure to rain and the elements, as well as provide storage and organization. Think hand-carry, a headphone and accessories "home" inside your home/office, or organizational satchel strapped to or inside a backpack or suitcase, but not recommended for marine living.

I wonder if I can carry my midsize DSLR camera around in a $45 Dekoni headphone bag, instead of this nearly identical, twenty-dollar DSLR bag I bought on Amazon? Or more to the point, the other way around?

Paperdragons I'm not saying it's the exact same bag, but the shape has been used for DSLR bags for a long time. My point was that camera bags can be about half the price of this bag and come in more sizes. If I was seriously looking for a bag to transport my cans, I'd take them to a camera shop and see which one fits best, and then see who has the better price (the camera shop or Amazon).

I don't really understand why anyone would want a headphone case without any crush protection, the type of damage that headphones are most prone to. A hard-shell case in this form factor would have been great, this seems like a missed opportunity to me.

Yeah, well a pelican case would be good for shipping (I’m well aware of pelican cases), and you can use a a ziplock if you want. Heck, you could probably fit this case inside a ziplock or pelican bag. I’m far, far more concerned about drops and scratches, which some sandwich baggie would do nothing for. And a pelican would need the foam inside to provide drop impact protection, and to keep things organized and from rattling around, you would either need to chop up the foam to fit ONE headphone, or get the foam in small bars if you want something modular to suit different contents. It depends on where the headphone is. In my house, I want something to organize the accessories and store whatever headphone is not in use, ideally something that can hang in the closet/shelf/hook. I have several headphones, so it’s best for the case not to be specific to one. I also want to keep out the cat and dust, and be splash-proof from my wife’s drinks (love her, but it’s a real concern). Traveling, I need a case in/strapped to a backpack, or able to sit in a guest room. I’m not worried about it getting crushed in a backpack or suitcase, but I do want all the bits and pieces together so I can take my “kit” out to listen in my room, and store all the pieces so I don’t lose anything. Same organizational ethos with an office, maybe more strongly so, also enough rain protection if I need to carry it in-hand to a taxi or train station. Now, shipping headphones freight, yep I would want crush resistance and a pelican. If I was on a boat or yacht (Not any time soon!), also would want a pelican! Might also want a pelican in this world:

The porter falls over ALL THE TIME, through time-contracting rain, and dragged through oily lakes by ghosts! Crush, waterPROOF seal, and basically armor is required for everything important in that world! But realistically, there’s a reason camera bags have been like this for decades. This will be good enough for most situations. Happy holidays!

The advantage of opting for a true "holster style" DSLR camera bag (what this thing actually is) is not only that one has a wider selection of sizes and prices to choose from, but also that true holster bags tend to be more rugged and have lots of handy little pockets/compartments to carry stuff you're likely going to need or want to carry, but hadn't initially planned on. Another bonus: most come with quick-deploy rain covers; something you might think frivolous until that one fateful day when you don't!

Search for "Holster" or "Top-loader" camera bags and see what turns up--you'll be surprised ;- )

This case fits HD800, LCD X and Beyerdynamic T1 so they would definitely fit 6xx. You can see on the 2nd photo how comfortably HD800 fit and they are rather large.
