Ordered the memory foam and regular velour ones for my DT990pros. Memory foam pads completely destroy the sound and essentially makes them unusable. Everything is super "muddled" and "bassy" now. I know this sounds like an exaggeration, but this is coming from someone who isn't a hardcore audiophile or anything. I bought the regular velour pads as a backup just in case of this, but unfortunately they seem like they won't be usable either. The backing on them is different from the stock DT990 in that they lack the little holes which, I assume, allows more sound to pass through. Huge disappointment and waste of money. I've already ordered official stock replacements from Beyerdynamic.

IckzI got the velour for my DT-880's and I agree with you. I wanted so badly for these to as good as the oem pads :(
