I actually think these are the best deal on Massdrop. They are phenomenal socks, I have 6 pairs and I probably will only buy these from now on.

Nice feeling of the fabric. No itching whatsoever. Goog cushioning. These sock really wrap the foot and cling to it but without feeling tight or leaving marks. I wear them to work and have them on for 12 hours and more. I rotate between a couple of pairs and air them so there is no odor issues. They are warm enough for a mildly cold climate, and breathable enough so as not to get clammy in warmer weather. I am very pleased with them. I also use them for hikes and soccer from to time. In conclusion, a very good all-arond sock!

I think these socks are fantastic, maybe even the best technical socks I've ever owned for just daily hiking, walking, driving, existing activities where socks would be helpful.
I have found that the best utility I get out of these socks comes from mountain biking and just biking in general. I have 3-bolt, SPD and standard shoes I ride with so having comfortable, breathable, but still warm and still grippy (IE not overly sweaty/damp) socks is important to me. These socks rock in that regard and can take a beating. I've trail-guided 12+mile hikes through bogs and rain and dirt and mud and snow in these, beat them to hell, bled in them from my cuts on my feet and legs, got them soaked, put them in the wash and just hung them out to dry on my deck in Tahoe in the baking sun this past summer. They were completely dry in like 10 minutes in that radical radiation.
I gave them a 4/5 because it's annoying that people default to 5/5 when they like something. If these socks were $5 cheaper, then yes, I would give them a 5/5 too. Maybe I just don't have as much money as y'all do to buy fancy things like socks and dick-n'-balls-embracing boxer briefs like the rest of you MassDroppers...

I was sceptical at first when I got the socks if they would be what I needed. Turns out these are the best socks I have ever owned. Light and soft they hug your foot so you never feel like they are too tight or too loose. I rotate and air them often so there have never been any issues with smell. I have always had the problem of getting cold feet when going outside and doing anything other than running. But these have kept my feet warm and dry in all kinds of weather. Hiking, running or going to work, these are your all around go to socks. Love then and highly recommend them.

The socks in the photos look very neatly sewn and well fitted. They look like a nice, trim, athletic fit. After putting these on I immediately knew the quality was sub-par when compared to other reputable merino wool brands such as Darn Tough, Smartwool, Icebreaker, etc. They fit loosely, have a boxy toe area with too much fabric, stretch out and do not bounce back, have a weird spongey feel to them, and pill like crazy. There is too much material to be discrete in a shoe (isn't the point of low-cut?) and they just leave my foot feeling insecure inside of one. That said, they're very cheap for merino wool. They don't harbor odor and they breathe relatively well (probably too hot for summers). I'll continue to wear them around the house but I won't bother stuffing these into a shoe for any athletic or stylistic purpose. Save the higher-dollar brands for that. Oh, and the off-white "natural" color is hideous/just turns brown.

Absolutely Amazing (but)
So I haven’t had new socks in the last 5-6 years probably. I’m way overdue for a new pair and have been wanting some socks. Decided to go with these and really wish I got more before they were sold out in my size (L). Some people may not think they are as awesome as I do just because I have been deprived of good socks for a while. They are great for when I go skateboarding and provide enough comfort and support. I use these socks whenever I'm not wearing sandals in warm weather or thicker merino wool socks during the 15-30 coldest Central Texas days. Even after sweating in them (not uncomfortable) from a long day at the office (then happy hour), they do not make my shoes smell. When paired with cedar shoe trees, they prevent my insoles and shoes from smelling. Prior to buying merino wool socks, I've had to change my insoles twice per year (even when using shoe trees); now, I don't even change my insoles. I've even worn these socks a few times while jogging on unpaved wooded trails with no ill effects. I'm so glad Massdrop paired with Fitsok to produce a merino wool version with this cleaner style. I just don't get why companies have such crazy designs for merino wool socks. Get creative with non-visible model numbers instead; we really just want some beautiful, comfortable socks! Thanks, Massdrop! NOTE that an even plain-er black version would be better especially since socks become a fashion statement when entering households that do not wear shoes indoors. Who really wants guests trampling their piss-ridden shoes all over the house after a long night of seedy downtown streets???? EDIT: I should also mention that I've worn these 12 pairs of these XL socks (US-11 shoes) since August 2017 (1.25 years). Along with my towels, I've washed them via cold water and dried them via low heat for at least 40 times with no perceivable issues (often worked with sandals at coffee shops..).

If you like wool socks these are definitely worth the money. I used darn tough socks in the military and still like them but the increase in price drove me to try Fitsok and Wow! I've had the no show fitsok x merino for over a month, wear them daily, and they are holding up well and since these are the same, only longer I believe these will wear the same. I have not had to use the warranty so I can't comment on the lifetime warranty but any company that's willing to stand behind their products with a lifetime warranty is worth a try, imo.

These socks for me run a smidge small, I'm a size US10 mens normal width and got the XL and they are perfect. I have not tried the large size so I don't know how they fit compared to the xl.

I should have read the 'Discussions' page instead of the 'Reviews' page.... I like the socks, particularly the minimal cushion (hate cushiony socks in shoes or boots) and the enjoy the snugness; good socks should be on the tighter side, IMO. But...... The sizing is all sorts of wrong. Referring to the size guide on the 'Overview' page; size 1 up and if you're at the "top" of a size indicator, consider sizing 2 up (example: L (8-10), if you wear a 10, consider XXL). I also wasn't aware of Massdrop's no return policy on their branded, collab, "ready to ship" products. I'm a pretty staunch Massdrop drop defender in many cases, especially if it's a "mass" buy from a vendor. If I was interested in or definitely wanted X product and joined a drop (ex. have always wanted Sennheiser 800's and they're available, alright, I'm in!); I understand not being able to return something like that (unless it was damaged or something). But I don't really understand why you can't return one of their branded products because the've not buying from a vendor anymore, they become the vendor. Anyway, this is probably too much writing for something that only cost $20 but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Summary: potentially really good socks at a good value if you get lucky and guess the correct size.

Sizing is way off. I have skinny feet, size 10 mens, and an XL was wayyyy too small. I would normally go L, but one reviewer said the run small. That was an understatement. Size up 2.
