We got our hands on the MW07 GO earphones from Master & Dynamic—and we gave them the legendary Godspeed treatment. Introducing the MW07 Godspeed: top-notch true-wireless earphones in an exclusive colorway.
MaxenthHonestly, I'm not sure what you expect from IEMs.
Few if any actually look their price, which is fine if that means more is invested in the speakers/cheaper price for the consumer.
You can drop 1300 on some great looking speakers or spend about 300 on a kit of the components, put em together, let them look like ass, but sound as great at a substantial price discount.
Ahmad.366Even as a layman with barely-trained ears, I can fully agree: Boosted bass and treble, and some of the worst treble I've ever heard even then.
TragiqueThese were specially designed for quarantining and social distancing. They prevent you from wanting to get close enough to others that they could see them.
Man, these are fugly. I’ve seen better designs crapped out by toddlers using finger paint.
Why the heck would I spend nearly $200 for something that looks like it was shat out by a first year design student who’d just learned about the joys of LSD?
Hard nope.
Personally, I appreciate they look different to the competition. The thing though is how they sound and I doubt they beat the 1st gen Momentum TWS. Is there anywhere a sound impressions review I could take a look at?
g_t_jI have tried a lot of TWS (not the Momentum range though) and I'd say it depends what you're into. It has heavy bass and a very dry powdery treble, and recessed mids. I think they sound awful for just about any genre. The general public might love that extreme v-shape on the other hand. Like I said, even for forward bass and treble, I think the bass was very poorly done, ruined percussion for me.
Feature-wise they're a great set of TWS, sturdy with good controls.
(As long as they're modeled after the MW07 PLUS or GO, the original MW07 have atrocious battery life and no one should consider them given the rapidly evolving competition since the MW07's launch.)
yablokosmonautThanks for the brief review. What you describe is what I don't like too!
I like a balanced signature with a slight warm tilt or / and an accasional bit of mid forward tuning with liquid vocals. Thanks again as I'd better steer clear from those ;)
Dang... I love those shells, but I already have MW07 Plus. They're my first Master and Dynamic products, and I am so glad I got them. Superb battery life, and great sound quality. The fins also work very well. I do get a bit of ear pain, but that's after like 5-6 hours which I imagine most people will have issues with unless you have customs.
