Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. If I can't get these to fit anymore, I might seriously consider asking for a refund for the cups.
See Innerfidelity 10/1/16 "A Survey of Foster 447342...Subjective Listening Tests...E-Mu Teak...TH900MK2". He specifically addresses this to E-Mu wood cups.
PopZeus had the idea, but placing dessicants or drying agents in the bag will remove moisture & the wood cups will slightly shrink smaller. So, use the method that suits which direction you need to go for either more moisture or less moisture !
From your description...if they originally seemed bigger & now seem to shrink, then you need more moisture & use wet paper towels. Maybe you live in a very dry climate area ?
Cheers Brother & fellow E-MU wood series enthusiast !
