junkiDamn I've always been on the fence because I currently has AH-D2000 while it has its issues but I couldn't justify buying another Fostex variants but your review made me really really close to hop over that fence. :P

HydeForget my review. Even Tyll @ Innerfidelity says your Denon is solidly the worst of the Fostex variants.

junkiYeah I guess so but it sort of makes sense considering Denon is the first of its kind and also a lot cheaper at the time. And overtime they improved it and price went up.
Back then I got my D2000 for $300 CAD which is like $240 USD and now E-Mu is like $500. That being said I'm still really interested to try E-Mu though I just need a little push until I pull the trigger.

HydeIf u need a push I can help! I also had the D2000s, I currently have Ebony TH-X00s (same ball park SQ as the EMU variants). The newer Fostex headphones sound better in everyway, Highs sound crisp, mid range is more pronounced and bass is tighter. Always good to upgrade to something better with no downsides.

DenonFanboyHaha thanks yes in the headphone world it's nice to have direct upgrade. Most of the time you're always playing with trade off (nice bass but no mids, nice detail but lacks soundstage....... etc). It's really nice for once to have upgrade that cover all bases.
I think the review from you guys + free shipping sold it for me. I've been eyeing this ever since it came out I think it's about time I take the plunge.
