Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Also mentioned you're from massdrop (I give him my username too though not sure if it's necessary) and he can sell you at massdrop price. He even has the option of selling the non-detachable version for $50 cheaper (which is what I did, detachable cable isn't that huge of a deal for me) also you can order extra cups from him at the same time if you wish (about $100-$120 depending on wood, keep in mind he only sell Teak cup to Teak headphone owners, rest of the wood anyone can buy it).
Happy shopping! :P
LOL and I'm in the same boat, I still need to get a new DAC/AMP also want to try a new keycap set. But just this month I already bought a pair of Dekoni ear pad, a headphone carrying case and a few other things so I should probably slow down a bit.
