The picture of these being in a wooden box is a horrible picture. Seriously Massdrop you could have taken 30 seconds to tidy up the cable to make it presentable. At this point it's almost you guys are not caring how it looks because anyone will buy it. Presentation is key :)

IvorWe didn't actually intend to include that one as that wood box is a prototype package e-mu sent us. I missed it when I reviewed the page :(. Sorry for the miscommunication and unfortunate cabling.

IvorListening to the Ebonys right now, they sound very good as well. It's pretty awesome to get this level of clarity out of a closed can, especially for me here in the office. Definitely not clinical but super comfortable and nice to listen to for an extended period.

IvorYeah for sure, I have both. IMO the biggest difference is the x00 is a bit more present downstairs while the teak is a bit more present upstairs. I find rap/electronic and other sub bass heavy music a bit more fun on the x00 and jazz/rock/classical a bit more fun on the teak but they also both do the full range very very well. It's nifty as well that E-mu is offering some wood choices with different overall aesthetics and a different sound signature.

nicpopeSo will these headphones come with a wooden box? Otherwise shipping would seems rather high for a cardboard box packaging.

nicpopeThanks for the info! I am more into electronic music so that brings comfort to my decision. Those cups are gorgeous though... Do you think there is any chance of you guys being able to offer them in their own seperate drop? I am lead to believe they are pretty easy to swap out, and so many own a pair of X00's by now that there is definitely a market for it.

nicpopeSo I was originally waiting for the x00 based off of recommendations from friends saying "You like bass, wait for those", but based on what you're saying I'm wondering if these would be a better fit. I almost exclusively listen to Progressive Metal, Jazz and rock. I barely ever listen to rap or electronic, so based on that are you recommending these over the x00?
