sbaniSame. I got mine in 2001 for $400 and still use them for my home theater. Still the best deal ever in home/pc audio, but this set is also very tempting.

rylimThese are alot better than the z5500, besides making your own 5.1 set up with a receiver and all. I upgraded from the z5500 to these, there's no turning back.

AdmrlYou can find just the speaker satellites at computer stores like the NCIX warehouse in canada for 80$, and you can buy the sub, control pod and remote for 300 straight from edifier including shipping. It came out to be just under 400$.
