So is this drop for the first edition printing by Asmodee or the second edition printing by IDW? Half of the artwork displayed is from the first printing but then the other half of the artwork is from the second edition. The description also references the reprint but I would just like to verify.

Was ready to commit then I saw shipping was $10 which basically makes it the same price as Amazon. There is no way this costs $10 to ship. Feeling increasingly deceived by Massdrop who shows a low list price but then makes it up by overcharging for shipping.

IncyI will be the last one in any room to defend Pandasaurus... but you obviously know very little about shipping. $10 shipping for a game this size is actually pretty fair. You have to put into that the cost of the box, packaging materials and the actual cost of shipping. I was expecting them to be charging 17+ for shipping. $10 is a helluva deal on shipping.

corkysruAmazon’s combined (free) shipping is cheaper, so what benefit is massdrop providing? Increasingly massdrop is selling at above retail or Selling in house products. I’m out, the deals are gone.

Has anyone else had problems with their Fire & Axe games? Ours had an empty ziplock instead of rune cards. Massdrop is claiming that because this drop had no warranty that they are not responsible and can do more than ask the publisher nicely.

Would you recommend this for someone who only has Catan? I recognize that this is a very different game.

fportalesYes, I think that this would be a good change of pace to Catan. It's still a thinky type game that has a lot of strategy but would give you something different to enjoy.

Which board does this version come with? I see a lighter yellowish board and a dark brown board in the pictures.

DeadhardyThe dark board. The brightly colored one is the version that went out of print. They apparently printed a bajillion copies of the new, all-dark edition, as it has been blown out repeatedly for the last two years.
It's a great game, but using that photo is misleading, and so is implying that this edition is highly desirable.

Including a photo of an older edition with the original, brightly colored board is setting buyers up for potential disappointment. To my knowledge, all current editions in production include the darker board with a muddy scheme of dark textures.

Received everything and the set is great. Well worth the money, imo. Payed $29.99 ($19.99 drop and $10 shipping) and am extremely satisfied with what I got.
