So i own these and the fitsok x massdrop, i mostly use the Isolwool for heavy hikes that at most i do once a week, so across all 3 i probably have put in well over 200 miles hiking into them combined. Only 1 of the socks seems to be opening up at the heel, just a tiny opening where the stitching comes together at the heel. Frankly im VERY happy with them, i also use a liner sock with them. Ive walked in a river once with them, still preformed great after i squeezed out the excess water.
Compared to the massdrop ones, these are thicker and tighter, good compression. I use the mass drop ones when i know im not going to do a longer hike. Also i feel the massdrop ones dont fight odor as well as these. Im thinking about picking up another set of 3 honestly now.
