I’m not an audiophile, I can’t really tell you the details of the lows and the highs, but what I can tell you is that they fit really well and don’t fall out. The battery lasts for far longer than the few hours I stay at the gym. A problem with my old pair (not the same brand) was that they sounded different if you shift them slightly in my ear. With this, it’ll sound consistently great even as you’re exercising or doing strainuous activities.
The only problem I’ve had so far is that they sometimes disconnect from my phone for a just a few seconds, but that happens too rarely for me to knock it down a star.
I bought these for listening to music while commuting and am happy with them. I've never bothered trying them for phone calls as every other bluetooth set I've tried had a worthless microphone, so I'm not considering that in my rating.
Good:
Cheap.
Lifespan is 5-6 hours on a full charge from what I've seen, they recharge in about an hour.
Earphone battery life is reported to my phone and shows on-screen (other earbuds I've used in this price range don't)
Sound quality is acceptable and isolation is good enough to drown out train noise.
Inclusion of the Dekoni Bulletz foam earpieces is a nice touch. Regular silicone earpads don't fit my ears, so this was a deal-maker for me and they're comfortable to boot.
Minor complaints:
The earphones exhibited some "crackling" sounds (like a scuffed vinyl record) at first, but that seems to have gone away. They look dumb; like jamming half a AA battery in each ear.
They're a heavy compared to other similar earphones I've used.
In-ear "hooks" are flimsy for the earphone weight, but with the foam eartips, they remain stable.
It stopped saying "pairing" when connecting to a new phone/laptop after a couple weeks. It still seems to pair fine, so meh?
Overall, decent earbuds for both sound and value for money.
Edit: One other issue with these is that the earbuds need to be recharged frequently. I imagine these probably use a small supercapacitor instead of a normal lithium battery and as a result they discharge after a couple days regardless of how much use they get.
OMG I’m sooooo disappointed!! These were on a crazy discount from the original price so I instantly bought them. The more I read about the specs, the more hopeful and excited I got that I just got a steal of a deal. However, when I got them and tried them out I heard the famous quote “if it seems too good to be true, it is” in my head. Quality sucks, the volume doesn’t get very high, and just.. no.
One can't expect much from IEMs that cost $7, but these just simply don't impress - even with the price point in consideration. Sound signature is very "tinny" and mediocre across the board. Worst part is that the battery couldn't even last one gym session on a full charge... just pathetic. I'm going back to my $15 headphones I got on Amazon.
Sound quality is okay, battery life is TERRIBLE. Died after less than 3 months.
These sound fine, but they don't last anywhere near long enough. I get maybe four hours of usage while being used in a call center job, they do charge quickly though, so that helps a little. They're not the worst, and for 12 bucks, that's why they're getting 3 stars. You get what you pay for I guess.
Update: as of today, these headphones no longer charge. They died while using them due to their short 4 hour window of use, and now will no longer charge. At this point, 12 bucks was far too much for these.
Force Audio's website is nonexistent and their email kicks back as un-deliverable. This is bad for a first experience with Drop.
My only gripe with this product is the build quality. The ear pieces are removable, as such, every time they are removed the snap connection gets just a little weaker. I've had this product for a few months now, and it's gotten to the point that the ear pieces become detached with just the slightest provocation, which is quite unforunate.
