I wanna pull the trigger on these but not having detachable cables is giving me pause. MD did you let Fostex know that people want detachable cables? These are around $500 with tax, not cheap. Also, if i wanted to mod it, say diy and change the cables or at least make it detachable , would that void the the warranty?

westwestI don't work for mass drop, but I can garuantee that voids the warranty friend. These aren't really portable at all and I worried a bit about detachable cables at first, but it's really no big deal. It's a good giant friggin cable that doubles as repelling rope and a weapon and all sorts of shit.

ZbellLOL! "doubles as a repelling rope and weapon"! The cable is thick. Can also be used as a garrote! I am a firm believer in cables altering the sound in subtle ways, but I doubt that switching cables to some fancy new cryogenic, plasma cable is going to give you much better than stock here.
