I have Valhalla 2 but wonder if Asgard would be better for these? (Significantly more power and maybe warmer?) I enjoy listening loud. Appreciate any comments.

wixyYour Valhalla should do fine, for 99$ I would consider trying the new magni 3, its got the same se topology as the jotunheim but warmer sounding, u will get 2 watts rms into 25 ohms which is twice the power of the asgard 2. pretty loud with same if not better performance.

wixyANYTHING will be able to power the TH-x00 beyond reasonable levels! I cannot listen through my SMSL SD793II beyond 12 o'clock! I thought my he-400i is an easy to drive headphone! Nope, TH-X00 IS the easiest to drive headphone I ever owned! If you have the Valhalla 2, don't bother throwing money away at a different amp/dac!
