I honestly could not have expected better for what I paid for on Massdrop. The retail price is not worth it in my opinion, lots of other options. These were comfortable in my ears, I thought they have decent sound quality for a budget wireless earbud with these features. I never listened to music for 10 hours straight to see how the battery lasted but I don't mind charging it when it's dead. I think it lasts longer than my Bose Soundsport. A coworker at my office actually bought herself a pair because she really liked mine, I have heard no complaints from her... I got the carbon fiber version which doesn't look very nice up close. I would recommend if the price were lower.
I have nothing to compare to, but I use these on my travels on airlines. I get approximately 8 hrs of play time on music/movies before I need to recharge. I carry a portable battery pack, so I recharge while I am switching flights, or anywhere else where I cannot plug in. I like the magnetic connectiin that shuts down power.
The FRESHeBUDS sound good work well. I've been using them as my primary set for a few weeks now and they are holding up to my abuse and seems to keep a charge for light use all day. My only problem is the magnetic on/off. Its a cool thought, no buttons just pull them apart and stick them in, and they do work. But the magnet is so week they come apart in my bag, around my neck, when i turn around too fast. And then I have to stop what i am doing and put them back together. And they don't seem to naturally hood back. IF the ear buds where weighted right it would seem they would just naturally magnet back together when just hanging together. But they don't you actually need to pick them up and hold the correct sides next to each other to turn them off. Which is actually a bigger pain than just pushing a button.
By far the worst purchase I've made on Massdrop. The design is incredibly flawed. The power loss as a result of the fact that they power up every time the grip of the anemic magnets is broken is awful. Even if they don't power up battery life was nowhere near as advertised. And the sound quality was thin and tin like. I threw them away. That bad.
4 hour battery not the advertised 10. Annoying low battery signal (every five seconds that makes the buds not worth using). Shit sound quality. Audio delay that cheaper bluetooth headphones do not have. Shit build quality.
Sound was mediocre the play/pause button broke in a week then some plastic banding broke off now 2 months of use and they're completely dead and won't even turn on.
