i ordered half a size up, and threw in some orthotics under the garmont sole, and then some extra reebok memory foam soles over the garmont sole, and the result is a boot that i can wear for hours on end working in a warehouse with no fatigue, while somehow being more comfortable than a pair of house slippers - i cannot stress enough how much i am *not* exaggerating here. out of the box they were already the most comfortable things my feet have ever worn, and as you wear them in they get softer and softer, i am continually amazed by these bad boys
TaiwwaI would bet they are.
It makes zero sense to produce this style of boot at that price level to not have such a massive population to market it to.
These appear almost purpose built to meet that requirement.
Taiwwathe story here is that these *were* approved, but the military recently overhauled their uniform colorschemes. this boot's particular shade has apparently been tweaked, but even a slight color change basically rendered the entire remaining stock unusable, which is why so many really high-quality combat boots have suddenly become available to the public at sub-$100 prices
I have a pair of Nike SFB v2 boots that I absolutely LOVE, but I picked them up used and am not wild about the color so I've been looking for new boots
Does anyone have an opinion on how these compare to the Nike SFB v2 boots?
Tech2Some one makes a kit specially designed for these kind of boots. I didn't enough time left before retirement to care to find out who. Although all the younger troops had it. Hope this helps.
