I almost bought at this price point, but after reading reviews on this same product on Amazon I noticed a bizarre amount of 2 star reviews (usually there's a nice tail to the quantity of reviews by star with 1 star reviews breaking the tail, this was unusual). So I read through them and I'm suspicious now the manufacturer is trying to unload these "prone-to-leaking-at-the-seams-after-first couple-uses" units.

I do like the bladders, the service at geigerrig was also good as they replaced the inflator that I lost on exercise. The lack of positive retention on the pump is the biggest downside although you do get used to it and it's better kept tucked away as you don't need to access it a lot.
If you are a cyclist or a runner these are amazing in terms of hydration, I always find drinking out of conventional bladders somehow make me more out of breath, with these you actually hydrate and it has no impact. Good for impromptu first aid as well.

Any photos of the inside of the pack, bladder removal/insertion or even actual pack size for comparison of fit? I’m 6’5” and don’t want to order a hydration pack that is too small or won’t fit.

Brince68I'm away from home so I can't measure mine but I feel like it fits small on me and I'm 5'9". I use the bladders regularly (I have three of them) but don't use this pack very often. I'll use this pack for day hikes where I don't need layers. There is enough room for first aid supplies and food. Very high quality pack. At $39, this is a good deal for just the bladder.

Any thoughts about this pack for cycling? Seems like it would be way too heavy.

EnricoFermiI use mine for cycling and its the 710. Pressurized water to clean off gear is always a plus. Its just enough space for essentials like sunglasses, keys and phone.

jmk451They call it the "engine" and it's about $45 by itself. This drops not a bad deal even if your just looking for the engine.
