From Gen.s, the designer behind the Gem and Human After All artisan keycaps, these caps are a fun and colorful blast from the past. They depict an old-school computer monitor with a friendly hello written across the screen—a warm welcome every time you sit down to type Read More
Got mine in the mail yesterday. It's pretty cool!
The back-lit rgb lighting effect is a bit hard to capture accurately with a cellphone camera, but it looks very pleasing to the eye.
It'll make a fun bit of flair for many a retro-inspired keyboard.
A beige one does seem like a bit of a missed opportunity, but perhaps that will be available in a future round.
Bought this cap because I love the retro throwback. I have kept my eyes out for the reruns, but the black colorway hasn't ever come back. I am so sad that this got lost in the mail.
Gorgeous. The top comes off easily but doesn't fall out of place. It has a satisfying click when you put it back on. It's also easy to take out the "hello" plate and put something else in there if you want. This design is customizable and interactive! It also feels solid. I put it on a key I use a lot and it feels great to press on. Gladhave this on my board.
I can make the screen's "bezel" and "glass" pop out way too easily. Just a clumsy swipe of the hand will knock both off of the keyboard and on to the floor. Do that one too many times, and they'll be gone forever... I invest in the mechanical keyboard hobby for keyboards that are more robust and functional - not fragile. :(
