The Spooks Come Out to Play

Boo! In this brand-new printing of the Unquiet Dead expansion for Gloom, mad scientists reanimate relatives, vampires terrorize the townsfolk, and shape-shifters go wild in the moonlight. This set also introduces Stories, Undead, and Timing Symbols. Story cards (like “The Tattle-Tale Heart”) give your families even more to fight over, while Undead modifiers transform characters into supernatural creatures—like wereducks, mummies, and haunted portraits. Finally, Timing Symbols determine whether a card has an instant effect, an ongoing effect, or a persistent effect that stays with a character until he or she gives up the ghost.

Note: This drop is for the second-edition Unquiet Dead expansion pack. The core game, not included, is required to play. This drop is limited to 80 copies.

Inauspicious Incidents & Grave Consequences

Leave your positive affirmations at the door. The world of Gloom is a dreary, unkind place—the sky is gray, the tea is cold, and a new tragedy waits at every turn. Think debt, disease, heartache, and packs of rabid mice. This card game’s goal is simple: Assume control of the fate of an eccentric family of misfits and misanthropes, and try to make their lives as miserable as possible. Lower your characters’ Self-Worth scores by playing horrible mishaps—like “mauled by a manatee”—and cheer on opponents’ happy occasions, which only pile on unwanted positive points. The player with the lowest total Family Value wins.
